Results and discussions relating to audit in the West Midlands will be published here. The Audit ProcessThe role of the audit process in clinical biochemistry is systematically to review all aspects of the laboratory service by comparing current practice with the best available guidelines and standards. Regional AuditThe Regional Audit Network allows for the co-ordination of audits across the Region and acts as a mechanism whereby the results of local audits may be more widely disseminated. Aspects of audit, such as setting questionnaires and guidelines, will be reviewed on a regional basis. The Network operates by identifying key personnel as 'audit leads' in laboratories throughout the Region. Details of on-going and and completed audits will be published on this site, and discussion of the audit process will form a regular part of regional meetings.
